Accelerating your skin routine.
Exfoliating with the right type of exfoliant can dramatically boost the absorption and effectiveness of every other product in your skincare routine. Instead of using harsh, grainy scrubs that can cause micro-tears and irritation, acid or chemical exfoliants work in a much gentler, more precise way, dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells together so they can be swept away without damaging the skin’s surface.
These exfoliants work on multiple levels: they remove excess dirt, oil, pollutants, and dry skin buildup; they thoroughly clean out pores; stimulate healthy ceramides in drier skins; and balance excess oil in oilier skins. Over time, they also help refine texture and even out skin colour to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.
For oily or breakout-prone skin, salicylic acid is a game-changer. It penetrates deep into pores to break down excess oil and decongest blockages before they become blemishes, it also helps to heal post breakout marks left behind. For most other skin types, AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) like lactic acid work beautifully, as they not only exfoliate but also hydrate and plump the skin. Lactic acid is one of our favourites for dry or ageing skin, as it stimulates ceramide production, strengthens the skin barrier and improves moisture retention, leaving skin softer, smoother and more radiant.
With consistent use, chemical exfoliants don’t just polish the surface, they actively condition the skin to stay clearer, healthier and more receptive to all the active ingredients in your other skincare products.
