WHY FADE?
Melanin is the natural pigment that gives our skin its unique color. While it’s essential for protecting the skin against UV rays, sometimes melanin production goes into overdrive. When this happens, it can show up as freckles, dark spots, post-acne marks or patches of uneven skin tone.
Pigment is made inside specialised skin cells called melanocytes. These cells produce melanin through a process triggered by the enzyme tyrosinase. The more active tyrosinase is, the more pigment your skin creates. Sun exposure is the most common trigger, but it’s not the only one... pigmentation can also develop from skin trauma. Something as small as a pimple, scratch or even a cut can leave behind stubborn dark marks, a process known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
This is why targeting melanin production at the source is key. Fade is formulated with 10 powerful active ingredients that work synergistically to slow tyrosinase activity and regulate melanin production, helping to both prevent and treat unwanted pigmentation. HOW TO USE
1. After cleansing morning and night, dispense 1 pump of Fade into your fingertips.
2. Massage over your full face and neck, all the way to your hairline, remember to include your eyes, lips and back of your neck.
3. Follow with the remainder of your Skin Cosmeceuticals serums and moisturiser.
4. Always remember to use a broad spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin throughout the day.
POST TREATMENT
Non-ablative: Suitable to use 24 hrs post treatment, depending on the skin tolerance.
Semi-ablative: Suitable to use 3-5 days post treatment, depending on the skin tolerance.
